Here are some everyday things we got up to around the end of summertime - mostly in August.
Shirtless bike riding.
Silly faces at the playground with Daddy.
Our new minivan. We bought a used 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan to accommodate our growing family. The kids were a little dismayed to hear that we were letting Daddy's purple car go when we got to the dealership, but they quickly fell in love with the van and enjoy climbing all over it and playing.
The kids love when I drag out the baby pool for them to play in - which we still do occasionally even now in December, when we have a nice sunny day.
At the end of August we got to go to the water-park with Ryan's ward. (He is in a bishopric in a singles ward on campus) It was lots of fun and the kids absolutely loved it. They still ask to go back regularly. When we first got there we realized that Cora was tall enough (just barely with slippers on) to go on a few of the rides so we sent her up with Ryan without really telling her what she was in for or showing her what it looked like. She was terrified - she did the big circle raft ride and then somehow we got her to do the sled style slide where you go down on your own, face first. It was so adorable to see her reaction when she came down - she had no idea what she was in for. She recovered quickly though and we spent the rest of the time in the kiddie area with her and Elijah which they both loved. She was brave enough to do the slides in the kiddie area, including one that she had to do on her own that Elijah wasn't big enough for. She did that one over and over.
They fight a lot but these kids really do love each other.
