Play dough and a new quilt
Today we played with play dough - Cora's favorite new toy. I'd been meaning to make it forever, and I finally did. I followed the instructions found here. It was super easy and is really fun to play with, and it's cheaper and much less stinky than the store bought stuff. And it's edible - but gross tasting. (I'm assuming - I didn't actually try it.) Cora even helped me mix up all the ingredients. I made one batch and then divided it into four balls to add different colors.During naptime I finally finished Elijah's new quilt that I've been wanting to finish forever. It's bright and fun, more modern than his other one. It's also smaller, so easier to carry around. Although, I think I would still like to have an even smaller one for easy stroller/car seat use. Here it is this morning before I bound it. You can see the backing fabric I used. (Thanks Mom!)

X-country skiing and other stuff
We went down to Sandy on General Conference weekend to spend some time with family - got to see John who was up in SLC to see a doctor about his back problems. We also got to see Ryan's cousins Travis, Lorraine, Julie and cute little Sawyer on Friday night right when we got there!
Dad was able to get four tickets to the Sunday afternoon session of General Conference and Ryan insisted I go with Mom, Dad and Johnny. I had never been before and it was amazing - some awesome talks, and I loved singing the congregational hymn with thousands of other voices. Ryan got to hang out with our old friend Paul while I was gone, and had a good time catching up.

Us being goofy at home.Ryan took advantage of the relatively cold weather we've been having lately to go cross-country skiing one last time at Magic Mountain on Saturday. As you can see, the snow was still pretty deep up there!Cora and I have been a little sick and were coughing too much to go to church - here are some pics of us hanging out at home instead.Cora noticed an owie on Elijah's knee.He is so chubby!A few coos for the camera.

Blankie love and a church stud
When you love a blankie and it needs a wash...
you throw a tantrum the entire time it's in the laundry...but give it big hugs when it's all clean!
