Flat Stanley's visit and Easter
Around the beginning of April we had a visitor - Flat Stanley, all the way from Jacob's class in Marysville, Ohio! We had fun showing him around Laie. First the temple:
Then BYU-Hawaii:
Then Laie Elementary School, where we ran into Troy:
And finally, the beach, where it was a little too windy for Stanley.
The day before Easter we went to the Gunstock Ranch Easter Egg Hunt. It was a lot of fun for the kids. I forgot to bring a basket for them so they had to use their hats to collect eggs. I didn't actually think they would get many eggs, there were so many kids there, but they hid plenty and we were able to fill up our hats.
On Easter morning we had bunny shaped pancakes and - what else - hard boiled eggs. Then we went to the front lawn and hunted for Easter eggs. Apparently I didn't take any pictures of that - just videos. It was pretty cute. For a few weeks after Cora kept asking to do it again. "What do you want to do today, Cora" "I want the Easter Bunny to come and hide eggs outside and we go out and find them." We were going to take pictures of the kids at the temple after, but it started raining really hard right when we got out of church. Elijah was wearing a new bow tie and some church pants I sewed.
And the kids one day when we took a walk to the temple.
